About the book
Margaret's book is written primarily for parents who have recently been told that their child is likely to have some form of disability or development delay, or who have noticed that their child has difficulty in reaching milestones.
It offers advice on how to cope on a day to day basis, establish routines and deal with the awkward situations and reactions from others they might encounter along the way. It also gives ideas for encouraging the child's physical, intellectual and social development as well as self help and good behaviour.
Although aimed at parents and other family members the book could also be of interest to those in the caring professions.
